The Reclaimed Pavilion Reuses Salvaged Construction Materials

The Reclaimed Pavilion is a 1,500-square-metre temporary events venue in Hyderabad designed by Kanan Modi Associates for the Jayabheri Group. Created for a rapidly developing district, the project combines exhibition, work, meeting, and event spaces with a show home for The Pinnacle residential development. A grid of reclaimed scaffolding painted deep red encloses the site, supporting zigzagging jute fabric canopies that provide shade while allowing the entire structure to be dismantled and reused after its temporary installation concludes.

Salvaged construction materials define the pavilion throughout, including gabion walls filled with demolition debris, reclaimed corrugated metal sheets, and bricks produced from excavated earth. Flexible interior spaces are organized around reception and gathering areas, while stepped seating, an L-shaped reflecting pool, shaded plazas, and concrete stepping stones extend activity outdoors. The detached show apartment occupies a white volume enclosed within the scaffolding framework.
