New York-based art and architecture studio 'MARC FORNES/THEVERYMANY' created this monumental amphitheater titled The Chrysalis. The beautiful structure is comprised of various tiles that resemble reptilian scales.
The Chrysalis features archways that slightly resemble an over-sized lizard hovering over the stage that is contained below. The durable structure is sturdy enough to combat the weight equivalent to 25 cars.
The entire dome was created as a unique community gathering site that will host live performances. A second stage was built to entertain children and to host informal performances while a third stage below another arch acts as the site's loading dock. Additionally, this enormous amphitheater can act as shelter for pedestrians, a picnic area or just a place to hang out when there is no music or artistic performances.
