The Carlyle

Modern Art Deco in New York City

Combining modern and classic elements from Ralph Lauren Home and other distinguished designers, the Carlyle evokes the essence of urban sophistication for which the hotel is celebrated. Here we have a place that give us the opportunity to enjoy and live the Newstalgia concept.

Executed by the acclaimed interior designer, Cameron Barnett, formerly of Ralph Lauren, the one bed-room Deco Suite immediately captivates guests with its exhilarating departure from the classic English Country rooms and suites decorated by the distinguished Mark Hampton. While maintaining the intimate feel of a private residence, Mr. Barnett drew his inspiration from the hotel's iconic Thiery Despont black and white marble lobby.

The Deco Suite evokes the same dramatic contrast in colors through a variety of elegant hues that convey a seamless visual experience when staying at the hotel. The living room's comfortable ivory leather chairs, beautiful Abberly black sofa by Ralph Lauren, contemporary glass cylinder lamps, and faux black croc stools are reminiscent of the 1930s style aesthetic when the legendary hotel was first designed by the renowned Dorothy Draper. Guests of the Deco Suite can admire an original Norman Parkinson print from the Staley-Wise Art Gallery while a custom made collectors desk with horn trimmed desk accessories, classic books and paper weights in the shape of Packard Convertibles enhance the old boy's club atmosphere.

Located in one of the most cosmopolitan citys of the World, The Carlyle Tower is a good example of the neverout Art Deco trend.
