The Tekio Art Installation Displays the Fixture's Adaptability

There might be something vaguely familiar about the Tekio art installation. That is because it is made up of the Tekio Lamp that took the industrial design industry by storm last year. A modular, worm-like light fixture inspired by Japanese Chōchin paper lanterns, this sinuous sculpture shows exactly what it is capable of.

Created by United Kingdom designer Anthony Dickens for Clerkenwell Design Week in London, England, the Tekio art installation looks like a piping system that has been given a radioactive glow. Beautiful to behold, it shows off the various configurations the lighting can take on: straight, rectangular, triangular, circular, interlocking and spiral. Attention-grabbing in its simplicity and adaptability, the Tekio art installation is made out of paper diffusers and aluminum framing, giving it a lightweight and ethereal appeal.
