Curious Confectionery Packaging

The Taste of Yellow Chocolate Bar is Consumer-Inspired & Vibrant

The design team at the studio 'Strategy' had the unique opportunity to create the packaging design for The Taste of Yellow Chocolate. The name does not deceive you; the bar of chocolate is actually canary yellow. This edible oddity was created by Josh Winger who rose to the challenge posed by Yellow (New Zealand's Yellow Pages). The company challenged its users to create the world's first yellow-tasting chocolate bar using only companies listed in Yellow.

The packaging for this unique bar plays on the whimsy of the candy it houses. Drawing inspiration from the wild stylings of the Yellow Submarine, the vibrantly illustrated packaging highlights items that are naturally yellow, such as lemons and bananas. With psychedelic aesthetics adorning the wrapper, the Taste of Yellow Chocolate Bar is very hard to miss.

Looking like it belongs in a world where cellophane flowers thrive and grow under marmalade skies, the Taste of Yellow Chocolate bar is one fantastical creation.
