Onitsuka Tiger's Tansu Trainer

Sneaker brand Onitsuka Tiger has created the world’s first Tansu shoe - a handcrafted wooden sneaker with hidden drawers inspired by the Japanese art of traditional chest-making.

The execution by Amsterdam Worldwide is the latest in the brand’s ‘Made of Japan’ campaign. The agency commissioned Tansu artists, Ogura Tansu Ten, to create a 4.5 foot long custom wooden cabinet in the shape of a sneaker.

The Tansu shoe will tour across Onitsuka Tiger’s European stores as well as featuring on marketing material.
