This is Pacifica Creates Fiberglass Posters for a Surf Festival

A surf festival in Barcelona tapped forward-thinking creative studio This is Pacifica for a series of promotional posters. Dubbed 'Surf City Festival,' the event seeks to fuse urban cultures with that of the beachy sport.

The Portugal-based design firm sought out to produce posters that were engaging, thematic and artistic. This is Pacifica named the concept 'Make Waves' which is strongly tied to the aesthetic and inspiration behind the surf festival marketing materials. This is a great example of how the advertising of community-enhancing activities can double as an installation. The posters are wavy and three-dimensional. To keep it as authentic as possible, This is Pacifica invited a professional surfboard shaper who created the structured casts.
