This student library design by Zaha Hadid was created for the Vienna University of Economics and Business. The new Library and Learning Center is one of seven new structures that will help to accommodate 24,000 students and 1,800 staff members on-campus. True to Hadid's style, the building is super futuristic and will definitely have students thinking ahead.
On the outside, the library is stark, black and geometric, with a cantilevered volume that hangs over a portion of the facade. On the inside, the interior is completely the opposite, featuring a soft, fluid organic design in white with spiraling forms that truly make it seem as though you could be on the inside of a spaceship.
