Stonehenge Side Tables

The Caramel Table is Assembled from Identical Rounded Rectangles

You might not be able to tell at first, but this pseudo-Stonehenge side table is constructed of components that are exactly the same. Because of the arrangement of parts and their orientations, the composition seems varied, yet the overall aesthetic is beautifully rational, thanks consistent manufacturing.

From the side, Offecct's Caramel Side Table appears to simulate the ancient structural assembly of the post and lintel system. Made of thin metal panels, the rounded rectangles are stacked with the top and bottom laid horizontal, and two in the middle that are oriented vertically. Designed by Claesson Koivisto Rune, the furnishing comes in a vibrant variety of colors and can accommodate couch-side cups of coffee and miniature workstation setups. It fulfills a demand for adaptable furniture, both aesthetic and functional.
