The Stitch Chair is a seating design by architect and designer Emad Lajevardi that explores how a single continuous line can form an entire chair. The piece debuted publicly at SaloneSatellite 2026 after being completed in 2025 and was recognized among the event's standout designs.
A rhythmic steel tube loops through a circular geometry to create the seat, backrest, and integrated armrests, while steel sheet panels reinforce the seating surfaces without interrupting the continuous form. The construction presents different visual profiles from every angle while maintaining a functional seating structure.
The chair is produced entirely from steel and is available in glossy ruby red and cobalt blue finishes. The looping frame defines the ergonomic seating angles while keeping the overall silhouette visually lightweight despite the material's rigidity. Lajevardi developed the design through his independent Frankfurt-based studio, which he established in 2023 with a focus on furniture.
