Stephane Malka Creates the Ardent Chapel to Respect Those Persecuted

Stephane Malka has added to the famous Notre Dame chapel in the heart of Paris by creating the Ardent Chapel. The design is meant to commemorate all of the people that have died as a result of religious fanaticism.

The impressive part about the monument is that it's been integrated into one of the most historic churches in the world, and is also done in a very modern way. The towers of Notre Dame have been added to with glittering facades, which is a far cry from what the aged structure usually looks like. According to DesignBoom, the "pair of towers symbolizes a desire for renewal and for a less dogmatic religion, while simultaneously referencing the history of the french landmark."
