The Spinifex Group PLAY Art Piece Reworks Sydney's Opera House Sails

Kicking off the annual Vivid Sydney 18-day festival of art, music and ideas is the Spinifex Group PLAY art piece, a gorgeous kaleidoscopic reworking of the city's most iconic structure.

Designed by Australia's Spinifex Group, 'PLAY' transforms the Sydney Opera House sails into a rainbow-colored light installation that reinvents the city's whole skyline. Etched with lines of neon yellow, purple, green and red to create a modern and engaging new look for the sails during the festival, the Spinifex Group PLAY artwork celebrates the heart of the artistic festival.

Other makeovers during the festivities include The Museum of Contemporary Art Australia with its 3D mapped illuminations lighting up the building's exterior, as well as the Sydney Harbour Bridge which has interactive lighting where you can instantly paint the bridge in a color of your choice.
