This Vegan Margherita Pizza Has a Slowly Fermented Artisan Crust

Alex's Awesome Sourdough is expanding its product portfolio with an all-new Vegan Margherita sourdough pizza that's layered with organic plum tomato sauce and plant-based cheese. The handmade plant-based pizza sets itself apart with a naturally fermented crust and a recipe that's free from soy, canola oil, added sugar and commercial yeast.

While the slow-fermented sourdough is a feature of the product, all of the ingredients are mindfully sourced, right down to the Sonoma sea salt that comes from the rocky Northern Californian coast and the tomatoes that are picked and packed within hours of being harvested.

This new plant-based sourdough pizza joins other artisan organic pizzas from Alex's Awesome Sourdough like Mushroom, nut-free Sunflower Pesto and the brand's own take on the classic Mozzarella pizza with a sourdough twist.
