Beverly Fishman Presents the Something for the Pain Exhibition

Artist Beverly Fishman unveils a new collection of sculptural paintings dubbed Something for the Pain and it is currently on exhibit in New York City's Miles McEnery Gallery. Notably, the marks Fishman's third solo exhibition with this gallery and it will be on display from now until June 3rd.

The artist highlights abstract themes of identity, medicine, and disease with a deeper focus on medicine for the past 20 years. The new show explores the idea of polypharmacy, which is the prescription of different medicines for one single person. The art highlights glowing and matte geometric structures of wood to highlight one's own prescription medley. These are stacked to create various shapes to represent partial and entire doses.
