Pharrell and adidas Originals' Footwear Draws from Traditional Weaving

For the Fall/Winter 2018 season, Pharrell joined adidas Originals once again to drop the third SOLARHU capsule. This time, the duo drew inspiration from East Africa, specifically the traditional practice of weaving patterns. The collection is highlighted by the footwear options, dropping four new tonal options along with Hu NMD -- there's now black, white, 'Clear Blue' and 'Power Blue.' All of the footwear models are complete with vibrantly colored collars as a nod to the East African weaving designs. Each sneaker is also complete with Chinese embroidery that reads "Inspire" and "Empower" to add some cross-cultural influences.

The apparel selection boasts the same powerful Chinese symbols, along with captivating patterns to correlate with the footwear selection. The powerful symbols are infused as a reference to the entire SOLARHU capsule's embodiment of "transforming lives through sport."
