Sneaker boxes, like sneakers, have evolved and changed over time; artist Stephen Cheetham has made an infographic to outline and capture these changes over the course of certain company’s existences.
This particular series showcases four heavy-hitters in the sneaker world: Nike, Adidas, Vans and Converse. These companies of decades of experience and their sneaker boxes have changed in different rebranding campaigns and so forth. The series outlines from top to bottom the changes that have been made with regard to logos, colors and placement of designs. Cheetham showcases these changes in stacks of these boxes.
This series is interesting because most people throw away their boxes, or pay them little attention (besides, you wear the shoe not the box), but it’s interesting to see how the designs have changed over the years.
