Sun Protection Markers

Suncayr's Ink Changes Color to Show When the Formula Should Be Reapplied

Skin sun protection products come in spray, cream and drinkable formats, but Suncayr is introducing a new type that takes the shape of a marker. From a pen-shaped applicator, Suncayr markers dispense a UV-sensitive formula that changes color to indicate when the lotion needs to be reapplied. The sun care lotion goes on completely clear, but as the formula fades over time, the color will change to purple to indicate when appropriate protection needs to be applied again.

Similar solutions have included bracelets and patches, but this serves as a more visible indicator that won't be separated from surface of the skin so easily, especially as people cool off and play in the water to beat the heat.

Although many beach-goers and sun-lovers will be eager to get their hands on this marker, the prototype is still undergoing testing and is not yet available for sale.
