Sears Tower in Chicago to Open Glass Bottomed Sky Deck

Many people would love to be able to have a literal bird’s eye view of the world. The problem is that planes are expensive, and there are few places available where a person can look down at the landscape from over 1000ft up.

Following the lead of the CN Tower in Toronto and the Skywalk over the Grand Canyon, Chicago’s Sears Tower is installing glass bottomed observation shelves on the west face of the tower. They will be open in June of this year.

There is hope that the new attraction will bring in Chicagoans that haven’t been to the Tower recently, if ever.

I know I’ll be there.
