Google Created a Search Portal for COVID-19 Information and Tips

Google created a dedicated COVID-19 page, and also a search portal that will provide safety information, accurate statistics and more. However the dedicated page and search portal will only be initially available for users located in the United States. Google stated that it is undertaking these effects because the illness has become the largest search term this year, by a significant number. This means Google can use the new search portal to inform users who are actively seeking out the information.

Emily Moxley, Google's product manager for search, wrote a blog post about the new content, "This new format organizes the search results page to help people easily navigate information and resources, and it will also make it possible to add more information over time as it becomes available."
