Architecture firm Babled Nouvet Reynaud has completed an addition to the Romain Rolland Elementary School in France. The company was successful in making the old match the new, even though the previous structure was not in the best shape.
The architecture firm completed the new building using concrete material, but added in a touch of distinctive design by using material with horizontal, banded lines across the facade. While small, this detail gives the building a sense of uniqueness in an area where many of the structure are made from the same concrete materials. Floors and windows of this school in France are also made known by placing a frame around each that juts out from the walls.
