Subway is changing its sandwich rewards program by offering free food to patrons who log on to its Wi-Fi platform. Working in collaboration with Turnstyle Solutions, the casual food chain hopes to reward Internet users across its Canadian locations.

While this marketing move might seem strange, the catch is that patrons who log on to Subway's Wi-Fi are automatically entered into the restaurant's reward program. In addition to being entered into the program, patrons will also be informed of in-store discounts and will have access to food coupons that will garner them even more tasty sandwich rewards.

Appealing to younger students and millennials, Subway's tech-savvy target demographic, this Wi-Fi rewards system gives restaurant patrons access to exclusive offers and discounts when they browse the Internet during their meal -- something that is second nature to this audience.
