Law Enforcement Rebranding Moves

The Russian Police Force Overhauls its Look and Message

In an attempt to strengthen the image of the Russian police force, Russia has embarked on a brand overhaul of its law enforcement. The decision came after finding out that the country’s citizens were unhappy when the Russian militia was renamed as police earlier this year, says Popsop.

The rebranding initiative that will give the Russian police force a whole new look has already begun and is set to be completed by the middle of 2012. At its core is a new typeface and a chevron logo (a military symbol) based on the colors of the Russian flag—red, white and blue. The new logo will appear on everything from the rebranded police force’s cars to its uniforms.

According to the Russian police website, its main goal is to provide a "sound foundation for a better tomorrow, safe living and secure business environment for every person staying on the territory of The Russian Federation…"
