I love it when designers like Rui Alves from My Own Super Studio bridge two completely separate concepts by creating something that encompasses both of those worlds. To a certain extent, that is exactly what Rui Alves did with his three latest designs.
Although all different except for their simple, cute and colorful aesthetics, Alves has found different inspirations for each of his new pieces of furniture. The Tour Chair features road bike handlebars. The Giro Umbrella has a baseball cap brim and the Vuelta Side Table boasts a briefcase-like handle.
Rui Alves debuted his three new designs at Salone earlier this month. Cool and quirky, his pieces were most likely a hit with the crowd, I'm sure.
