Stacked Layer Abodes

The Résidence Roy-Lawrence is Located in Quebec

Résidence Roy-Lawrence is a newly built house located in the rural areas of Quebec Canada, in an area where it gets quite cold come winter. The house was done by Chevalier Morales architecture firm, and was completed with a stacked layer design.

The house blends well with the surrounding landscape due to the large wooden roof section, which features a large overhanging section. Below this area are mostly glass walls to ensure that the owners have the best view possible of the forested land. The one difficult part about this feature is the warmth, which tends to escape the house during the cold winter.

For anyone who enjoys a modern abode located far away from the city, this design will certainly stand out. Photo Credits: designboom, chevaliermorales
