Creatively Inspiring Shoreside Homes

Robert Bailey Interiors Used Surroundings to Get Creative

This two-story Canadian vacation home is located on the shores of Lake Okanagan, British Columbia, and was designed by Robert Bailey Interiors. The designers were inspired by client sketches and the surrounding geography when they came up with the blueprint for the home.

"The result is a modern home that reminds true to the idea of a cabin. Blurring the lines between indoor and outdoor living, the home is relaxing, durable, and rugged, with a defined purpose of summertime pleasure." The designer's words hold true. The home really looks like a luxurious upgraded cabin, especially the docks leading to the sea and the wooden-walled bathrooms. Down to the tiniest detail, the home is inspired by cottage life. In the bathrooms there are two side-by-side sinks and a rectangular bar for a window that lets in enough light but allows for privacy.
