The REI Co-op Trailmade Collection Welcomes New Nature Lovers

The REI Co-op Trailmade Collection offers affordable gear and apparel to hikers and backpackers who are new to adventuring in the great outdoors. The welcoming product collection aims to accommodate more people's needs for hiking and backpacking with everything from gender-free sleeping bags to size-inclusive jackets, backpacks and trekking poles.

"Trailmade is all about alleviating the feeling of having to fit into a limited mold," says Amy Marks, REI Co-op product designer, "We've created a line that's intended to fit more bodies and lifestyles, and help people feel more comfortable outside, without compromising durability and performance."

As outdoor recreation continues to grow in popularity, brands are recognizing the need for accessible and inclusive products that help everyone—regardless of age, ability or background—enjoy the beauty and benefits of nature.
