Redwood Empire Whiskey Has Planted 500,000 Trees

The Redwood Empire Whiskey 'Buy a Bottle, We’ll Plant a Tree' initiative has been created by the distiller as a way to combat against deforestation and further entrench the brand's connection to the forest.

The brand has planted 500,000 trees since 2019 as part of the initiative, which translates to impressive benefits for the environment. The initiative was created in partnership with Trees for the Future and runs alongside a national partnership that took place during Earth month with One Tree Planted.

Founder and Managing Partner of Purple Brands Derek Benham commented on the Redwood Empire Whiskey 'Buy a Bottle, We’ll Plant a Tree' initiative saying, "Since we launched our partnership with Trees for the Future in 2019, we never thought we’d plant so many trees in such a short time span. We’ll continue to grow our efforts alongside the rapid growth of our craft whiskeys."
