York Gin Launched the UK’s First Completely Recycled Gin Bottle

York Gin introduced the UK to its first completely recycled gin bottle, crafted from 100% post-consumer recycled glass.

This first-of-its-kind bottle in the UK is made by Verallia, and the 100% PCR glass known as Vista makes the most of previously used bottles, windscreens and other glass products. To create glass packaging design, pre-used glass is crushed, melted, and re-cast into the brand's iconic bottle shape. Although the bottle made with post-consumer recycled glass does have a slight tint, it only serves to give the packaging a unique character and a story worth discovering.

Implementing this recycled gin bottle packaging is just one way York Gin is supporting a more sustainable spirits industry. At its central York shop, York Gin also offers a refill station, allowing customers to fill any spirits bottle with their choice of York Gin.
