Cozy Reading Pavilions

This Weekend Retreat Has an Attached Metal Reading Pavilion

Benn & Penna Architects have built a reading pavilion that is attached to two other buildings that were designed in 1993 by Beverley Garlick.

The property is used as a weekend retreat and features two red barn-like buildings that are the same in design and color. The reading pavilion addition is similar in size but is very different visually -- in shape, design and materials used. The building is made up of "non-combustible metal sheeting" and a covered walkway that connects it to the original structures. The reading pavilion features large floor-to-ceiling windows and a curved bookshelf -- creating a relaxing and unique reading environment.

With views of the surrounding nature, a cozy atmosphere and quirky accents, this reading pavilion is expertly designed for the enjoyment of avid readers.
