Rotganzen's 'Quelle Fete' 2012 Installation is Sad and Tired

The Quelle Fete 2012 art installation is aptly titled. Meaning 'What Party' in French, it is comprised of various disco balls in a state of depletion. A sad little get together, to say the least, this art project is full of character as well as narrative.

Created by Rotterdam-based art collective known as Rotganzen, the Quelle Fete 2012 installation was commissioned for Wenneker Pand in Schiedam, the Netherlands. Set in a brightly lit room, which is very uncharacteristic of a full-blown party backdrop, the disco balls appear to be taking a break rather than half-heartedly dancing the night away.

As though commenting on the tired night scene, the Quelle Fete 2012 installation art installation is, at the end of the day, very playful.
