The 'Pylon Chair' Folds Open to Reveal a Seat Within

The 'Pylon Chair' has been designed by Timo Riemann as an illusory furniture piece for the modern home that would hide in plain sight as a traffic cone only to shift into a functional seat when required.

The chair is constructed with laminated fiberglass, fiberglass-reinforced polyamide and a one-of-a-kind brass hinge that has been specially designed just for the seat. The chair would thus provide an additional space to sit when having multiple guests over to ensure there's enough room for everyone.

The 'Pylon Chair' takes an unexpected approach to home decor furniture and would act as an eye-catching piece within any space thanks to its roadside-inspired aesthetic. The chair was designed by Riemann as a project created during his first semester studying at university.
