The 'Pulse Drip' Helps You Vibe with Your Garden

The 'Pulse Drip' is an interactive installation by artist Rafael Lozano-Hemmer that helps you become one with your garden. Lozano-Hemmer's installation uses a pulse sensor to simulate your heart using a hose nozzle. Pulse Drip senses your heart beat and controls the flow of the water coming out of your hose. Every time your heart beats, the flow increases. As a result, the hose nozzle simulates your heart while you garden to make your experience even more serene.

Pulse Drip works by using a sensor to control an automated valve. After you place your finger on the sensor, the hose automatically begins spraying water. An Arduino processor controls the entire process. All of this is powered by a rechargeable battery so that you can have some endless water-based fun.
