Ada Hefetz Used 3D Printing Technology to Make Three Unique Dresses

Israel-based wedding dress designer Ada Hefetz created three striking printed wedding dress designs using Stratasys’ advanced direct-to-textile 3D printing technology. These designs based on Hefetz’s Flower of Life theme were recently shown at Milan Design Week and as the designer said, "The 3D printer allows me to digitally create new forms using mathematical formulas, and print these directly onto the fabric, ensuring the pattern is replicated perfectly."

This is the first time that Hefetz has completed a project with 3D printing and this technology allowed for precise symmetry to be achieved. The wedding dresses with intricate geometric designs use cutting-edge technology and motifs that date back to ancient Egypt, including a lily that represents the union between two individuals and the circle of life.
