Designed for a retired couple by architect Gerado Ars, the Nest House's perforated concrete is reflected throughout the home as well. The overall look of the house is inspired by the "combinations of two cultures; Chiapas, the state where the couple were born, and Veracruz a city they love and have built a life for themselves and their children," writes Contemporist. It is nevertheless located in the seaside town of Alvarado, Veracruz, Mexico.
