3D Street Art for Pedestrian Safety

Auckland City Council PSA Gets Creative for Awareness

The Auckland City Council wanted to do something creative to raise awareness about the importance of pedestrian safety. See, in Auckland city, over 70% of road crashes involve pedestrians crossing main roads.

The city council collaborated with ad agency Ogilvy, New Zealand to create 3D illustrations that warn pedestrians of the dangers of crossing the street carelessly.

Illustrations of snakes, fire & sharks were created by Marc Spijkerbosch with a copy that reads, “Don't step into danger.”

Implications - The talented agency involved with this incredible project was Ogilvy New Zealand. The visionary Creative Directors were Jeremy Taine, Basil Christensen and Damon O'Leary. What a great project.
