Rolling Peak Architecture

JDS Architects Sticks with an Undulating Design

JDS Architecture has gone with another rolling architecture look for a proposed building in Istanbul. The company is known for its mountainous designs, along with the pixelated-like surface.

One reason for using this up and down design is because, "this arrangement allows for each living unit throughout the depth of the site to have increased views toward the water," according to DesignBoom. Instead of simply having one area of the site set at a higher price due to better views, this essentially lifts all of the apartments to a better value. On top of that, from an aesthetic perspective this design stands out from the others in the surrounding area.
