Sun-Worshiping Villas

Studio Seilern Architects Oriented the Paros House Around the Sun

Studio Seilern Architects designed the Paros House villa on the Greek island of Paros. The villa boasts a cluster of white cube-shaped forms, all of which are oriented to follow the sun's daily trajectories. Located next to an olive grove in Makra Myti, the sun-worshiping villa is set over the Aegean Sea.

The luxurious villa features a simplistic living environment and is finished in traditional white stucco and Greek marble. The spaces of the estate are organized around an east-west axis, providing every area with ample amounts of sun all day. The axis cuts through the center of the site and starts with an entrance ramp to the east end. Moreover, the villa includes a thin infinity pol that extends westwards towards the sea.
