Oge-Architects seems to be a bird of rare feather among its ilk. The ‘Giant Birdsnest’ certainly seems to suggest this. The intended purpose of this furniture is to create spaces conducive to fresh, new ideas according to the firm. Well, forgoing a sofa and coffee table for a giant bird’s nest is definitely not a stale routine.
The over sized furniture definitely calls for some out of the box thinking if one is planning out a room with it in mind. It requires quite a bit of space and will dominate most rooms. This is what Oge-Architects intended though.
Oge-Architects designed this piece of furniture in order to challenge tired conventions of thought and planning. It seems the firm’s work is a success.
