Rich Red-Dipped Rooms

The New Wing by Odile Decq at the Museo d'Art Contemparonei di Roma

Odile Decq is a French Architect whose work with the Museo d'Art Contemparonei di Roma is unlike any other. The recent work that Odile Decq did for the museum involves great shape, structure and vivid colors -- well, color.

Odile Decq has made an entire wing of the museum red with a lacquered finish. From the floor to the seats, the color communicates the rich, lively image of the venue.

The new wing is a former slaughter house and brewery, which adds to the appropriateness of the chosen color. Known as the "dark soul of architecture," this project is one in which Odile has really outdone herself.
