The Nicky Minaj Pepsi commercial, is the latest celebrity endorsed advertisement by the soft drink brand. The clip is called ‘Now in a Moment,’ which is a perfect match with the songstress’s song called ‘Moment for Life.’
The minute and a half commercial plays off on the "Live for Now" slogan that the brand image encompasses. Soft drinks are commonly consumed beverages. Whether it be at a barbecue, picnic, party, or for those bummed-out Friday nights, whilst chowing down on some delicious pizza and chilling with some friends; that’s where the memories are made.
As Minaj’s song goes, "I wish that I could have this moment for life," is precisely what Pepsi encourages people to do, live for the moment, and cherish the memories made along the way. By correlating an experience with their Pepsi product, they are building a nostalgic experience.
