This New York Photography Series is Nostalgic and Eerie

Through his travels in New York City’s parks, waterways and forgotten buildings, photographer Will Ellis photographs objects found in abandoned places for his nostalgic New York photography series 'New York, Lost and Found.'

"Most of the time, I abide by the "leave nothing but footprints, take nothing but pictures" rule, but some objects I come across are too fascinating, too mysterious, or too grotesque to leave behind," says Ellis.

The artist’s love for discarded relics and forgotten toys found in haunting city spots shines through in the eerie New York photography series. Lit up with expert precision, the images of the city's discarded treasures is photographed in a way to make sure there is no sentimentality in the series, only a sense of nostalgia.
