Morphosis Architects Designed a Mirrored Hotel Tower

Guests lucky enough to stay at the Vals Resort in Switzerland will have Morphosis Architects to thank. The American firm won a design contest to build a hotel for the resort, and its submission is all about minimalism. That term is relevant as its design has 107 rooms that each occupy a floor. The skyscraper is covered in mirrors to reflect its natural surroundings and better blend in.

In addition to the rooms, the hotel will also have a cafe, bar, and spa for use by the people of the town of Vals. The name for the hotel is the 7132 Tower, which pays homage to the company that manages the resort, 7132 Ltd. Morphosis Architects is slated to complete the building of the tower in 2019.
