The Barker ‘Monocles for Dogs' Set is a Comical Ruse

The online purveyors of spectacles at New York’s Warby Barker’s have put on an elaborate April Fool’s Day ruse in the form of their ‘Monocles for Dogs’ line. Visitors of the popular online shop were redirected to a page that featured an array of pooches clad in vintage and modern-theme eyeglass wear and, at a glance, the company seemed to be almost serious about it.

The faux Monocles for Dogs line is an all-out public hoax. The Warby Barker’s canine images showcased slogans that read, ’With frames like these, you’ll have yourself one hot dog,’ and, ‘Doggy fizzle, improved visionizzle.’ A hilarious collection to say the least.

Shot by photographer Noel Camardo and videographer Kenie Huber, the Monocles for Dogs series put on an April Fool’s Day prank done right. Those who were tricked by the illusive display were even offered a complimentary dog treat, a nice touch for the brand’s bargain-savvy clientele.
