Mixuro Estudio de Arquitectura Constructs a Building Set for Destruction

Mixuro Estudio de Arquitectura helped put together a dome for the celebration of The Fallas set in Spain, where work as one to construct the item then burn it down at the end of the festival.

Although many would think that the process is slightly depressing, considering everyone is aware that their work will be burned to the ground at the end, this method is actually a good team building activity. People in the community come together to construct the dome, and then partake in celebrations afterwards once everything is complete and burned. The construction is also accompanied by comedic performances and historical proceedings to give more meaning to the festival. Moreover, sand is put around the dome to add a playful element to the event, and ensure nothing is burned that should't be. Photo Credits: designboom, vimeo
