Succinct Sentence Exhibits

Mikko Kuorinki's Kiasma Museum Posts Brandish Short Phrases

Mikko Kuorinki's '44 Weeks of Words' exhibit was displayed at Helinski's Kiasma museum. As is apparent in the title, the Kiasma establishment displayed Kuorinski's succinct, witty remarks on a weekly basis between March 2010 and February 2011.

Phrases that read "Sometimes everything seems so oh I don't know" and "People remain what they are even if their faces fall apart" let viewers into the complicated mind of Kuorinki. The critically acclaimed artist studied at Helinski's University of Arts and Design and has since put his work on display at spots like the Gallerie Pictura and BOA Gallery.

There is something incredibly moving about the 44 Weeks of Words project. Although the phrases span a few lines only, they have been taken from the books of magnates like Gertrude Stein and Aram Saroyan and are consequently rich in knowledge and history.
