Hanging Vine Walls

MIA Design Studio Decorated This House's Walls with Strings of Vines

MIA Design Studio, a Vietnamese architecture firm, designed a house in Vung Tau, a small Vietnamese city, with an attractive foundation. Many of the house's walls are covered in thin, stringy vines, and the courtyard is bursting with local flora.

Though the house's actual walls are uniformly blanched with white, the plants throughout the building reflect a gentle and translucent green tinge throughout the halls and rooms. The total effect is one of brightness, with an almost tropical air about it.

The residents of the house love nature, which was the inspiration for the flora throughout. The small, one-storey building is set back from the main street that it is on, giving the residents some privacy that further contributes to the natural feel.
