Constantinos Yanniotis Designs the Metamorphosis Yoga Shala

The new Metamorphosis Yoga Shala is most recognizable by its unique shape, representing the look of a butterfly cocoon, designed by Constantinos Yanniotis. The outer construction of the building uses metal sheets, which is inspired by the work of Gehry's Bilbao Guggenheim. It sits on top of a stepped slope, which unveils beautiful views of the forest and skyline. Although it boasts a unique shape, it opens up to a lot of natural lighting with the skylight above.

Designer Constantinos Yanniotis speaks about the inspiration behind the design, stating that "The Metamorphosis of the clumsy and worldly caterpillar which transforms through an extraordinary biological process to a graceful Butterfly, is the core idea behind the building form and construction."
