The Mermaids at the Republican National Convention Boasts Uniqueness

The Florida Aquarium hosted an event for the Republican National Convention. The mermaids at the Republican National Convention were a huge hit and were an interesting addition to a political benefit. The event 'Spirits of Tampa' went on through Hurricane Isaac in Louisiana.

The mermaids at the Aquarium are seen playing with manta rays and schools of fish like any good mermaid should. Complete with a tail and flowing hair, the mermaids were hooked up to a tube that allowed for breathing underwater -- meaning they could stay under as long as they like without running out of oxygen.

These festivities were part of the amp up for Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney's bid for the American Presidency.
