Mezzogiorno Created a Massive 'Mediterranean Monster Burger'

Mezzogiorno’s Mediterranean Monster Burger is a towering creation that lives up to its name with many layers upon layers of flavor. For the creation of the burger, Mezzogiorno chef and owner Timothy Spangler said "Because we have so many great ingredients and so many fantastic flavors, I figured why not make a burger and incorporate as many different flavors that we can use into one burger?"

The Mediterranean-themed burger explores a number of different ingredient combinations with each layer, which are separated by Ciabatta rolls grilled in garlic. Since the entire creation is served on a skwer, it makes it possible for each layer's flavors to be discovered without much mess. Some of the standout flavors on the burger are reportedly the roasted red pepper, Kalamata olive tapenade and fontina cheese.
