Martin Parr and THE SKATEROOM have collaborated on a limited skateboard collection featuring photographic works drawn from Parr’s archive of documentary and street photography. The release translates several of the British photographer’s images onto maple skate decks through full-surface graphic printing. Saturated colors, close-cropped compositions, and scenes centered on tourism, leisure, food, and public behavior appear throughout the collection, reflecting Parr’s long-running photographic approach.
The collection includes individual decks and multi-panel arrangements produced from 7-ply hard rock maple. Several boards reproduce photographs captured in Spain, Japan, and the United Kingdom, while others focus on tightly framed still-life imagery associated with Parr’s editorial style. THE SKATEROOM stated that part of the proceeds will support social initiatives connected to skateboarding and youth programs through its impact projects.
